Spring Is Here: Let’s Talk Arctic Cat Windshields
Mar 14th 2025
Alongside the beauty and majesty of spring comes a multi-pronged assault on the human face. That sounds weird, but Arctic Cat riders might already know what we’re talking about. Between the piercing glare, all that fresh mud churning up from your tires, rocks and sticks, and those particularly enterprising bugs that just have to start their season early (why are you here?!), you’ve got a lot to contend with while you’re bumbling around in that Arctic Cat Wildcat or Prowler cab. But hey, that’s why windshields exist.
At Everything Arctic Cat Offroad, we know from experience how lifesaving a good windshield can be, which is why we only carry the best Arctic Cat Wildcat and Prowler aftermarket windshields from brands like 3 Star Industries and Kemimoto. But, you may be wondering, what exactly makes a windshield better? Read on for a quick and easy breakdown.
Fitment Is Priority One
By fitment, we’re not just referring to making sure that you only buy Arctic Cat UTV windshields that are appropriate for your particular year and model (although that’s hugely important—check product pages for fitment info). Rather, what we mean is that the telltale sign of a superior Arctic Cat windshield is its ability to fit your vehicle’s frame perfectly. Not only that, it should be easy to install, not taking a crazy amount of your time (and sanity). That’s why we ensure that our windshields, like this Arctic Cat Prowler 1-Piece Windshield by 3 Star Industries, are incredibly easy to install. This one comes with quick install trams and trim, as well as the C-clamps you will need for installation.
Look for Tough, Yet Adaptable Material
As a lively and passionate bunch, we UTV nerds sometimes get a little carried away debating which material is best for a windshield. In truth, as long as you’re working with heavy-duty, precision-engineered designs and materials, you can make anything work. That said, we do acknowledge that some choices stand out just a bit in front of the others. For example, quarter-inch thick lexan polycarbonate can probably survive a left hook from a grizzly (we don’t advise testing that), and mar-resistant polycarb will give you incredible scratch resistance. That said, there’s no reason to sleep on pure glass, either, as long as it is properly fit and reinforced.
Don’t Forget the Accessories!

We know it’s easy to just pop a windshield in and forget about it, but it’s always important to keep it clean—especially polycarbonate. We sell specialized kits just for that purpose from brands like EMP, and can also provide you with replacement clamps or straps depending on the kit that you’re running. Whether it’s a vent, clamp, or what have you, taking advantage of our windshield accessories can really enhance your overall experience.
